deep ruby, muddy and earthy in Chile
L acidity, H alcohol, tannins soft and silky
cherry, blueberry, spice, black pepper, bell pepper, tobacco
• vary late-ripening Bordeaux variety, very common in Chile, yet hard to find in Bordeaux
• deep colour; grapes need to fully ripen to avoid tomato leafy notes
• often blended with other Bordeaux varieties to produce high quality wines
